BPN's "inspired" by films.
John (mine) and I were lying in bed discussing films that could be nicked... err... used as inspiration for RPG adventures..
So I offer the following comp as a distraction.
State the film you where "inspired" by, the least SLA like the film is the more credit you will get for the effort you put in.
Word limit: no more than 5000 words.

Prize - The winner gets a 'trudy' - my interpretation of the Mort equivilant of the oscar.
With a "sue hug token" so that I will give you one free hug if we meet.
And you get to write your own gushing acceptance speech that should be at least half as long as the BPN but can include ANYTHING you want to plug :) [prestels limit on 'adult content' accepted] which will be included with your entry....Ok the prizes are shite but I'm kind of broke atm :)
Weep now.. I had 3 entries. Only one of which was an actual BPN.
Some of the choices below may seem obvious,but let's face it,Mort's environment lends itself more to David Lynch & Ridley Scott than John Hughes or Ivan Reitman!My ideas are:
Bullet in the Head: A group of SLA ops accept an off-world BPN on a backwater planet,where one of them,realising the lack of SLA influence,sets himself up as a crimelord.His fellow ops try to bring him in while still trying to complete the BPN,but in-party conflicts (not to mench quite a few deaths) result.A great one if your group is mature enough to handle conflict in-game,but if they aren't,why are they playing SLA?
For another example,how about Apocalypse Now?Brando's character would make an awesome Necanthrope!
Natural Born Killers: A class example of how the media can sometimes create criminals.The plot potential is too prolific to go into here!

I never did manage to get very far on this, but I thought you might enjoy the potential for humorous relief, or annoying little troublemaker :)
Girl (cheerleader) arrives home one day to find all her friends and
family waiting to stage an intervention they think she is a lesbian.
Girl had never even considered she might be.
She is taken to 'True Directions' where they teach you not to be gay
All the guys wear blue, all the girls wear pink
Everyone has to perform 'gender approriate' tasks, and participate
in group therapy.
At night they all sleep in same sex dorms, cue hints of strange
orientations, etc.
They all sneak out to the local gay bar, assisted by 'ex-ex-gay'
students of 'True Directions'
IE, gay couple in paramilitary uniforms (Bull from Night court is
one :})
Eventually Girl gets flunked out, but girlfriend remains to
'graduate'
Girl stays with gay couple, and meets a guy from her class also
staying there
Girl + Guy goes back to graduation ceremony and rescue their
partners from graduating
[Sue's note... that has got to be the worse movie premise ever]
High ranking human exec at 3ird Eye, hard core moralist (at least
where family is concerned)
Daughter caught in bed with a suspected DN convert (female) (DN
convert accusation might just be his way of getting rid of her)
Sending her to be 'taught' to be normal (and reeducation)
