Shooting Star

...and then there is the newcommer to this violent Public scene, Entropy. Entropy may not have the flash of Scalpel or the torrid past of Carnal Puppy, but he has stage prescence to spare. His violent songs of Downtown protest are all over the airwaves. He is the very idea of the “new model” Operative rocker; violent, sexy, ready to party or to fight. The only real question is how long will this new star burn ? Does he have the staying power of a Silverhand ? Or is he merely another flash in the pan ?

“...Carnage, Carnage, Carnage as the Jell-O Impact Squad went head to head with Soft Company “The CDWE”.

Our ever vigilant camera team was on the scene whilst, and a little before, it happened and as our exclusive footage shows the Soft Company got a lot softer and quite a bit squishier.

Entropy took out the companies prop “Wager” in record time using his twinned MAC blades whilst Assault and Bobby G took care of the board.”

<<....and in the entertainment news tonight, Rock Op Entropy officially denied the paternity suit brought against him by Maria Falste of the Jerwood Sector of Suburbia. His comment to the assembled news crews was “Why would I **** that ***** anyway ? I’ve seen better on GoreZone, at the end. I could have anyone, why would I settle for this nobody ?” Ms. Falste’s lawyers have yet to comment.>>

Love Child Death

Maria Falste was found dead in her apartment last evening, the victim of a Glass overdose. This comes days after the paternity case against Business trained Operative Entropy was dropped.

Entropy commented “I grieve for Ms Falste. Whilst we never met I can understands the loneliness she felt. It’s just like I said in my song City of Neon, City of Stone.”

Her unborn child did not survive. The SHIVER file has been closed, the verdict listed as accidental suicide.

Stucker for a pretty face

Caught in the spotlight at the Ozone club last night was the Operative Entropy, with of all people, Deidre Stucker, the sex star of Tabitha Zu fame. One wonders how poor Tammi-Lu will feel when she returns from her “shopping trip” to New Pari ? In my opinion she should be shopping for a new man. Ah well, when the cats away...

Loveless Eyes : Entropy

Today, Clondle Enterprises and Veep Music released the latest Entropy album, Loveless Eyes. Fans lined up around the block and in the Garrent Sector dispersal SHIVERs had to be called in. From the crowds round the block it would seem that rumours that Entropy’s career was nearly over were well and truly squashed.

In a related story Clondle announced the listing of two upcoming tours, one on Mort and the possibility of an Off-World World of Progress Tour to rival that of Spatula.

“The Lao-Si 27 low-slung holster. I bet my life on it.”

“So I said to the Stormer “Sure you’re packing extra DNA, claws, teeth and four arms but I got a custom made Berenyi Light Arms Blitzer and its packing 12.7mm HEAP. I got the cab.”

“GoreZone, don’t leave home.”

A selection of Entropy’s advertising voice overs

Hottest newcomer on the bill was definitely Entropy. He can do things with an axe that make even a hardened Stormer sweat, and his last number “Slayers’ Brood” was the real thing. A 12mm slug right to the heart of the Downtown youth.

New Op on the block Entropy claimed his first Soft Company today with the demise of DreamPod9, the pharmaceutical providers. Entropy, a member of NightShade, is quoted as saying “Hey, I grew up here. I’m gonna make the Downtown Streets safe.”

Insiders at Data Retrieval confirmed that up and coming Operative ‘Entropy’ received a SCL decrease following three charges of vandalism and incitement to assault. “It was a protest” explained Inkerman. “We aren’t all zombies ; some of us are still men”. This brings Inkerman’s SCL reductions during his career to 2.3.

Jell-O Impact, the Operative Squad fronted by Business Entropy, today signed a five year contract with Killwear for their winter collection of combat clothing for the discerning Operative. Entropy gave the statement “Man it don’t mean nothing, but if the kids want to dress like me, I want them to look their best. It’s a confidence thing. ”

The Department of Mergers announced this week that Ethereal Chaos, the independent one-man music label would be brought out by Veep Music Services. Veep will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SLA Industries. Whilst an official figure was unavailable, market estimates place the price paid for Ethereal Chaos at 1 million c. The Executive of E.C., Jack Inkerman, was unavailable for comment as Chaos lines were jammed with calls all day.

The Department of Copyright (a sub department of Advertising) today upheld the right of an Operative Squad to call itself Jell-O Impact.
Claims by Flying Jelly Attack Confectionery that the name infringed upon theirs as the pictures conjured by the two names were too similar. Ms Travers of The Department of Copyright stated that “A company cannot copyright the mental images that it’s customers may, or may not, conjure up.” An appeal was immediately lodged by Rampage Rodent Imagineers Inc to exclude their holo-suites from this statement.

...Entropy laughs self-deprecatingly, brushing back his trademark black mane. “I suppose I was young and angry, a life in Downtown will do that to you. I was angry at the greed and wanton selfishness of some of the Ops. Nightshade was a Squad that called to me. I guess now I see there are better ways to express that anger.” He pauses and takes in the sunrise over the Metros Tower. “In, say, Ashen Dreams, I am not just singing about the end of a love affair. I am talking bout the lack of post-industrial capitalism in today’s youth. Everyone realises that.”

I queried that surely most agree that his latest works express more anger that his earlier works. That their imagery and wild discordant rifts, whilst more polished than his earlier work, are baser, more raw.

“I guess I’m now old and angry, it means I’m better at it” replied Entropy. The smile having vanished from his face.

A tearful Tammi-Lu spoke exclusively to Hotboy InSight, wearing a golden low-scooped stretch -skin top from DeCline® that was practically transparent. From where this reporter sat it was easy to see how she caught Jack’s eye. But all is not mounds of gold in the world that Jack built. “He just isn’t the Jack I first knew,” Tammi sobbed. “Since his last Blueprint File he’s been short fused and moody. He keeps signing on for Black files too. Last week he refused to card me for a new Sao-Sao original,”
Hard man that Entropy, we would never refuse the luscious Tammi-Lu anything !

(con’t from pg. 13) but that’s it right ? It’s done. It’s just the fricking media that keeps bringing it back. It’s over, okay ? Move on.
DB: The various parent groups involved don’t seem to consider that it’s over. Do you think....
E:It’s over. Past is past, you can’t keep reliving it and re-evaluating it. You got to move on. Took me a long time to learn that, but I know it now. The present’s fricking bad enough, and the future, without letting the fricking past weigh you down. Move on. . .
DB: Some people are saying that your intention to re-release the . . . the album in question . . . shows some . . . well insensitivity to the parents of the kids . . .
E: Not my intention, okay ? It’s the record company.
DB: But you’re not stopping it from being re-released.
E: Don’t got the right to stop it.
DB: Well, according to the Contract Sector, you do have the right . . .
E: Legal right, yeah, sure. I got that, sure I do. But what I don’t got is the right to keep my music - my art - from the public, okay ? They want what I do, I got to give it to them. I don’t got the right to do anything but, okay ?
DB: The parents of those kids might argue.
E: Look, enough about the kids, okay ? It’s over. I took the decrease. Move on . Frick, what did they do that was so bad anyway ? They got the right to do what they did, that’s what I say. It’s not like it was anybody else’s life that they took, right ? If they did that, it’s different, maybe, okay ? It’s over. Move on. Yeah, and like the parents ? One of those parents took five days to notice. You gotta ask just whose to blame, right?
DB: From the decrease you mentioned someone must have though you at least shared in that blame.
