Subject: [sla] "mothers" day present :) Mothers day obligation have wisked me from my good machine - however.. this did result.

Every one knows War worlds are hell. The people take battering. The equipment takes a battering. Beryls helping hand showed us what happens to the human element - but what about the surplus kit?
Hey everything is a commodity on Mort..
Introducing

Repple Depple Depot weapons..

Your players are going to hate me for this one :)

Quotes

"Genuine Warworld fire arms available to the people of Mort now! Rechambered for CAF rounds to make them perfectly legal.
Own a bit of what kepts us safe yesterday, today:-
Repple Depple Depot available from Military Antiques stores across suburbia."-Repple Depple Depot Advert

"This is a genuine grenade launcher used by the seventh nitro legion in their assault on Thresher production facility 1738. You know the seige that lasted 6 years. Hell it took them three months just to get into the toliets. This weapon was wielded by 39 different guys in the time. This is a tribute to sla products: They last longer than the people."- Hank Kowalski, Monarch and RDD fan.

"These products are despicable, They dishonor the weapon and the memory of the brave warriors who fought with them."- Sw Lsn, Shaktar.

"Hey mum I want one!" Billy, future consumer.

The Product

Each weapon sold by Repple Depple Depot is reputed to be a genuine "as used on a warworld" weapon which has been modified to accept standard CAF rounds, thus making it completely legal for ownership by civilians. The weapons come with 'documentation' stating which warwolrd it was used on and by which units and in which battles. Additional documentation - such as Videos or Stills of footage of the weapon in action and signed affidavits from users of the weapon - can be had for an extra fee.
Cost (in uni) is 10% of the as new credit cost of the weapon* no of bits of 'documentation" included.
Thus a MAL Assault Cannon (2150c) with a still of the weapon in action and Paperwork covering its use costs 430u

Modifications

The weapons have a yellow flash on the barrel which is meant to make them easy to distinguish form the genuine original calibre item (Yeah right! detect roll at what ever negative you want to add for distance/ light level/ angle of viewing/ deliberate obscurement by user).

The weapons have been re-chambered so they can fire standard 5mm CAF rounds. Also all automatic weapons are racked back to limit their rate of fire to 3. Any talented weaponsmith can undo this modification but the re-chambering is permanent.

Even before modification these weapons have seen better days and have been judged unfit for further use by SLA personal. The re-chambering process does them no favours - Failure rate when shot is high; 5% (roll less than 5 on the die] chance of Jamming, 1%[roll of 2 on die] chance of explosion). As a result each gun comes with clear warnings that the are intended for display only. These warnings also serve to clear the Repple Depple Depot company from any injury to their customers from misidentification of the weapon by SLA operatives :)

Operatives them selves however have no such protection

"I'm sorry operative but the individual you shot was in possession of a perfectly legal weapon."
"What do you mean legal? It was a fucking power reaper."
"Actually it was a Repple Depple Depot replica weapon, re-chambered for CAF, and the Repple Depple Depot Replica Flash was clearly visible on the side of the barrel, as a result you reaction to open up with 12.7mm Hesh rounds was completely unjustified and his next of kin intend to sue. Now as you did complete a SLA industries release form with respect to the BPN on which this death occurred, the legal action will be taken against you personally. Kramer Kramer and Flint have authorised me to act as your legal advisor in the case, assuming of course that you are willing to pay all my fees."

I'm confident you can come up with loads of uses for these - Let me know how you get on.
