The words of Beryl Jackson Turner AKA Jack Crow.

Are you kidding? Man, the FEN Farjacket pump is a godsend!
That's what we call a quick-response shock assault weapon. You go in quick, hit 'em hard and fast.

Of course, you'd better be a damn good shot or else collateral damage is gonna cost you plenty....

Low bore weapons are okay for civilian level actions, but when you are dealing with a full on terrorist assault, you need something that's gonna crack your target's armor or if not that, then apply so much shock to him that you'll be able to make a second action to finish him. A 9 or 10mm round is an iffy thing against a hardened target.

A crack shot can use the lower caliber rounds to great effect and pick and choose his shots (i.e. shots at the armor joints and soft areas of the suit) but at least one squad member should be packing the heavy heat.

On a similar note, I remember reading on the post someone laughing about the use of a shotgun in the game. That is something that I don't agree with, that is, the casual disregard that SLA has about Shotguns. You'd think that it would be the weapon of choice and issue. Shotguns do relatively low collateral damage and are perfect for the house-to-house combat that is typical in SLA. However, they can be extremely effective and lethal in close combat, especially if you use speciality munitions.

With that in mind, (Sue? Yes, this can go to Pandora.)...
so here is it ;)

Masterline Ordinance Works (SLA SubCorpPatent #40446630-pending approval)

Commercial

"Have you ever been in a hot situation? Chasing a perp through a tenement across the walkways, only to have him dive in an apartment? Unless you have a clearance, you could be fined or forced to pay collateral damage fees for any property damaged in the fight."

Human male with slicked blond hair and a gleaming smile walks out, wearing a trench coat, holding a shotgun.

"Hi. I'm Troy McClure. You might remember me from films like 'Carrien Holocaust' or 'I Married a Necanthrope From Outer Space.' I also did time as an operative, studying for these parts. The 603 is a great weapon, but in these paper-thin tenements He walks over to a wall and kicks a hole in it. A child sticks his head out of the hole, wide-eyed in wonder.
one stray shot, could be tragic...He pats the child's head.to say the least."
Walking away from the child and the hole, glimpsing a shot through the hole of a woman in the next room being beaten by her husband. Shouting and blows in the background.
"And if you are in a factory...well, one wrong shot could cost a squad...plenty."

Raising up the shotgun
"But never fear. Masterline Ordinance Works has a solution with the economically and safe-minded operative in mind. Working the pump on the shotgun.
The Shotgun, once considered a casual weapon, not worthy of use by any operative worth his SCL, can now be transformed into a tool, useful for many situations."
He walks over to a kitchen counter with several storefront display boxes arrayed on it.
"Masterline presents, the signature series of Shotgun munitions. Raising the Shotgun again. For a nominal fee, Masterline will modify your standard SLA Shotgun, to handle the adapted Masterline rounds, turning your shotgun into a weapon that you will never want to leave home without."
Camera pans to the first box.
"First we have what we call the Masterline Kicker. This round is designed to cause extreme concussive damage at close range, for the purpose of either blasting in a door or destroying a lock."
Screen shot of an Op. The operative is identified as Dale Kisaragi of Blue Impulse. Walking up to a door, Kisaragi fires a round at it. The door blows open, suprising a couple engaged in a compromising position.
"In addition, the concussion round can be used for debilitating effect against an armored or unarmored opponent. Just don't let him get too close unless you don't want him getting back up...."
The man gets up rushing Dale. He fires at a range of 4 feet and the man is knocked backwards, folding inward like he's been kicked by a mule. The camera closes on the mans body, showing a black spot expanding under the skin of the mans abdomen, while he begins bleeding from the mouth.
Camera switches and pans to the next box

"Then we have the Masterline Mono-Mist cartridges. The Mono-Mist round fires a wad of ultra fine, degrading Mono-filament wire, that expands as it leaves the barrel, making a six-foot "cloud" that will stop most people dead in their tracks."
Camera changes back to the other room. Another person charges out of a back room. Kisaragi does a double toe pivot, swinging the barrel around and fires the shotgun again. A hazy grey cloud ejects out of the gun with a flash. The charging man turns to a puree-like mess as the cloud passes through where he stood, leaving only his boots.
"And the beauty of the Mono-Mist round is that after 5 seconds of discharge, the mono-filament wire degrades into a harmless dust, that can be swept up by the clean-up team!"
Shot of the cloud disintergrating into a pile of dust on the floor, next to the puddle and bloody boots where the man once stood.

Camera changes shot, to the next display box.
"Next, we have Masterline Dragon Shells. Armored, unarmored, it doesn't matter. Nobody likes a face-full of flame. And the burst from the Dragon shell is rated at an even 2500 Degrees F...able to flash-fry most opponents on the spot!"
Dale's raises an eyebrow, while slightly glancing backwards. He suddenly raises the shotgun, pointing it backward over his right shoulder and pulls the trigger. A burst of white-hot flame jets from the barrel, catching a knife wielding thug face-first. The jet only extends 6 feet, and as the man's cooked torso drops to the ground, the camera shows the wall behind him, which has only been slightly discolored by flecks of burned flesh and some soot.
"The intensely short duration of the flame of the Dragon, is usually not enough to cause a incendiary situation unless fired directly at an flamable object. This again, is designed to limit collateral damage to a combat zone."

Shot goes back to the fourth display box.
"Escaping perps giving you trouble...and you want to keep them in one piece...somewhat? Well here's the answer; The Masterline Wrangler Round!"
The woman rushes past Kisaragi, trying to run down the hall. Dale casually fires a round down the hall. A whirling form whips out of the barrel zooming down the hall. Suddenly she shot falls forward as the form whips around her ankles, binding her legs together. The girl struggles with the bindings with no luck as they adhere to each other and her flesh.
"The Wrangler fires a bola-like round which immediaetly wraps around it's target. The strands are coated in polymer DZX which adheres to itself and hardens seconds after contact with air. Your captive will be held fast until our special solvent is applied. In other words, she's going nowhere!"

Camera changes back to the last box.
"And last, Masterline has developed a round, when you just don't want to be bothered. The Masterline Nightcap!"
A nosy neighbor sticks his head out of the next apartment.
"Hey what's going on here! I'll call the cops!"
McClure walks out of the other apartment.
"Nothing to see here, pal!"
"What?"
McClure fires his shotgun at the man. A wad of material hits the man in the chest. A wet mist expands from the impact. The neighbor's eyes roll back in his head and he falls to the ground, unconcious.
"The Nightcap fires a low velocity mass of wadding soaked in Anesthetic solution TRQ. TRQ is a inhalant and a skin contact anesthetic, so wherever it hits, your target will be sleep in seconds."

Camera views switch from each target back to the Operative. The op then picks up a phone and calls for a clean-up. The operative then turns to the camera and speaks.
"The job's all over but for the clean-up. Thanks to Masterline. Oops, one more thing...nitey-night, Troy."
McClure looking startled.
"What? Dale, don't...don't!"
Sound of a shot, a wad hitting McClure in the chest, and McClure falling into a heap amidst a cloud of gas. Camera pans back to Kisaragi.
"Masterline and me! What a team!"

Breakdown:

The modification entails
the replacement the barrel with a heavy steel, ceramic lined barrel, designed to handle the increased stress of the rounds. The barrel has a lattice structure designed to increase its linear strenght and also to help dispel the excess heat that some of the rounds cause.
Cost-100c
Kickers:
The kicker can blast through moderate building materials (Light metals and under) and is primarily designed to knock open doors and wall sections without damaging whatever's behind it. The concussive force is cone shaped, so the further out it travels, the lesser the force is applied to the target. As an anti personnel weapon, it is effective against unarmored targets up to 25 feet, and lethal inside of 10 feet (Humans, Ebons/Brain Wasters, Wraiths only. Shaktars 6 feet. Stormers point blank only and head only.). Past 10 feet, to avoid being knocked down, a strength test with a +10 Modifier is required up to 20 feet away. Any armor above Blocker will negate the lethal effects of the Kicker, though they are still vulnerable to knockback.
5c/round- case of 25- 100c.
Mono-Mist:
Without a Ceramic-based armor, damage is the same as a Chopper pack, except it is applied to the entire body. Range for the mono-filament cloud is only 15 feet and because of the nature of the material, it will not penetrate a flat wall or floor, but only flatten against it, spreading out to twice it's regular diameter (6' to 12'). The polymer based material that the mono-filament is spun from only has a coherent duration of 5 seconds in open air. Afterwards the cloud will breakdown into dust. This dust is fine enough, if inhaled, will not cause any damage short-term to the person breathing it. However, long term exposure is another thing....
7c/round case of 25-150c
Dragon Shells:
A 2500 degree jet of ignited magnesium/white phosphorus dust is used as the flamable projectile with this shell. It is not recommended to fire more than 3 consecutive rounds using this shell as the ceramic coating and heat radiating properties of the Masterline CRX Barrel may be strained. Because of the quick burning nature of the dust, a shot using one of these shells can only be used intentionally to start a fire. The amount of the compound that is in each shell, only allows a 6' jet from the mouth of the barrel to the end of the jet. The design of the shell also limits the width of the jet to only one foot at it's furthest point.
7c/round case of 25- 150c
Wrangler:
Similar to the mast cutting bola rounds that Coast Guard Shotguns use, this under-powered shell ejects a specially treated bola. The strands of the bola are designed not to cut into human type flesh. They are also treated with DZX- a heat-activated polymer that sets seconds after exposure to air. The strands themselves are strong enough to hold a 313 for about 3 minutes. With the polymer that time extends to 8 if it is allowed to set. The round itself does less damage than a Browbeater, but has an optium range of up to 20 feet. The Masterline Rodeo uses DZX-2, a stronger version of the polymer, which also uses a higher-powered shell and triple strength strands. Note, this shell if used on an unarmored person may harm or kill the target via constriction and loss of circulation of the restrained limbs.
Wrangler- 4c/round case of 25- 80c Rodeo- 6c/round case of 25- 130c.
Nightcap:
The commercial explains it all. The wad in the underpowered shell is soaked in Anesthetic solution TRQ. TRQ can soak through clothng, so will penetrate most types of cloth wear and can even affect the living material of a young deathsuit, if it's not prepared. In addition, the saturation is such where if it hits a solid substance, the resulting mist if inhaled will also have the same effects. The TRQ dose in an average round will put a 714 under for five minutes. A human will be under for about an hour, and other than a slight headache and some disorientation, suffer no ill effects. The only protection is environmentally sealed armor as if any of the substance contacts open flesh or mundane clothing, the chemical will penetrate it and then take the normal effect.

Okay, there it is. Use and enjoy!
